Cuyahoga Arts and Culture (CAC) Announces 2008 Project Support Grants: Fifty-Four Cuyahoga County Organizations to Share Nearly $1 Million

The Board of Trustees of Cuyahoga Arts and Culture (CAC) has approved fifty-four grants
worth nearly $1 million for the initial cycle of its annual Project Support (PS) Grant program.
The 2008 awards, which range from $2,150 to $50,000 were announced today during a
special meeting of CAC’s five-member board.

Near West Theater

Near West Theatre, through the theatre arts, delivers an inclusive, self-esteem building process that results in high-quality theatre productions and programming that help build Cleveland's Near West Side and surrounding neighborhoods; educates and raises awareness around issues of social justice, discrimination, and stigma; and provides people of all ages with the ability to nurture their sense of identity and strengthen their purpose as individuals and as a community.

Near West Theater was awarded a $60,624 General Operating Support grant.
